Azureoocereus

Azureocereus: (Ak. & Johns.) Fruit dry unlike Browningia. Blue skined cacti from Peru. Very attractive in cultivation. Some botanists say they should be included in the genus Browningia. They grow large.

Azureocereus hertlingianus

Azureocereus hertlingianus: (Backeb.) Peru, Mantaro valley. Brown areoles at first, darker brown spines. Areoles further apart than the variety.

Azureocereus viridis

Azureocereus hertlingianus v. viridis: (Rauh.& Backeb.) Apurimac valley Peru. Supposed to be green (when mature ??) Could be just a form and not a true var. of A.hertlingianus. White areoles, yellowish brown spines.
