Pachycereus
Pachycereus (Berg.): very large columnar cacti from Mexico including Baja California. A specimen of P. pringlei 63 feet high exits.
The name Pachycereus is from the Greek and means thick cereus. The plant grows faster than C.gigantea and makes a handsome specimen.
Pachycereus weberi from Oaxaca makes enormous specimens. This picture was provided by Arturo Anaya.
